Digital collections:
We create websites for finding and exploring photographs, letters and other documents. Navigation, catalogue records and reading tools are developed around the collection’s cataloguing.
MEMOrIA XR · a WeSense studio
We create exhibitions, digital collections and experiences that connect people with stories, artworks and places. We work with those who research and care for these materials to open up ways to explore, connect and discover.

Our work
A letter can be read again. A collection can reveal connections between people and places. An artwork can reach someone who has never set foot in that museum. With institutions, artists and communities, we give shape to these encounters, preserving the context and authorship of what is shared.
What do you care for — and who else could connect with its story?
Projects
From reading letters in MUDIME to meeting Gilberto Gil in virtual reality, each project offers a way to connect. Discover our work with the Kuikuro people and the memory of Joãozinho da Gomeia, alongside the people and institutions that made it possible.
Creation and development
From concept to installation, we bring artistic creation and technical development together. Research guides our choices, with : what do we have to work with? who knows this story? who will take part? what will we build?
A project made with those who care for the collection and designed for those who will discover it.
What we do
We create websites for finding and exploring photographs, letters and other documents. Navigation, catalogue records and reading tools are developed around the collection’s cataloguing.
During the project, we gather information on provenance, authorship and permissions with the team responsible for the collection. This work guides what can be presented and what still needs research.
We develop installations, visits using virtual reality headsets and tours on mobile phones. We create the scenes, interactions and systems that enable the public to take part.
We produce three-dimensional records of objects, artworks, spaces and people for documentation and the creation of experiences. The capture records shape, volume and detail.
How we work
From the available collection to the first prototype, with the people responsible for the material.
We discuss the material, audience, space and purpose. From there, we define the scope of the project.
We bring together files and research information, including the authorship and conditions of use for each item.
We create a first version of the platform or experience to test navigation and interactions.
We complete development and prepare the public presentation, in line with the agreed scope and permissions.
We examine the available documents, objects and records. We identify the stories they tell and the information that still needs to be found.
Authorship, date and provenance accompany the material. When an image is recreated, this must be clear to the people viewing it.
Those responsible for the collection take part in decisions about its use. Together, we agree on what will be shown to the public and what will have restricted access.
